Call for Submissions

Call for Submissions

Raeni Day Story Station is now accepting submissions from children's authors. We are a volunteer stie that helps promote literacy in children. Please see our rules and guidelines before submitting.

If interested, please see full guidelines at http://raenidaystorystation.com/

Send all submissions to:

stationmaster@raenidaystorystation.com

We write for children ages 3-13.

1. You must first understand that Raeni Day Story Station is a VOLUNTEER project. There is no payment of any kind, only a love of children and a desire to provide them stories and poems to promote literacy.

2. Raeni Day Story Station reserves the right to do minor edits, such as spelling and punctuation correction.

3. Copyright remains with YOU. You will receive a by line and a link back to your page here to help you gain exposure.

4. Raeni Day Story Station creates audio files of your work as well as artwork that will accompany your story/poem.

5. Raeni Day Story Station reserves the right to refuse any author's work if deemed not appropriate or if not considered to be of professional quality.

6. Best Tip: Keep it clean. If it's something Disney would run from, it's probably not what we're looking for. There are no word or line limits. Check out my site before submitting to see what we are doing there.

7. IF you submit AND we accept, then be prepared to send a short biography.

8. Do not send attachments! We prefer the submission directly in the body of the email.

9. Have fun and spread a little reading to a child today!

The Panda in my Window

The Panda in my Window

A panda I see inside my window--
A panda with pink curly hair--
The panda I see inside my window
Wants me to come play and to share.

I wave to the panda in my window
And invite her to play in my room.
The panda I see inside my window
Says she'd rather go play on the moon.

I offer the panda half a sandwich,
But she shakes her head to say "no".
The panda I see inside my window
Says sadly that she has to go.

I watch as she leaves with her mother
And beg her to come back again.
The panda I see inside my window
Answers with a wink and a grin.
